More Info About Us:

Bikelife has been providing guided tours in Israel and other countries for many years. Following are answers to some of the questions we get most from our customers. If you have questions not included here, please call or send us an e-mail. No inquiry is too small.

Riding in Israel

Most roads are in very good condition. Even most of the small roads are in good condition but they might be narrow at times.
There is no war in Israel even though in the media it may sometimes looks that way. There are times when travel is not safe in some areas but we are tuned in to the news and gauge the safety of our routes all the time. If there is a problematic area, we will avoid it. In any case, there is no state of war in any part of Israel.
Israel is not one of the cheapest places to travel in. On the other hand it offers a unique combination of history, religion, nature and culture in a very compact area which makes travelling very easy and interesting.
English is widely and well-spoken by most people.
There are many hotels that range from hostel / inn type of places to very high end 5 start hotels. The tour can be adjusted to your budget.

You will have to have a valid international driving license for motorcycles. You will also need insurance that will cover you for all eventualities. A valid passport is also a must.

You can get to Israel by plane, ship or cross the border overland from Jordan or Egypt.
We do not book airline tickets but we can help with the booking.
We will pick you up and drop you off at the airport if you are a part of a guided tour and are arriving or departing on the first or last day of the tour. For all guests arriving one or more days before the start of the tour we will arrange a shuttle (paid by us), which will take you to your accommodation. The same applies for departure.
Israel’s weather is good almost all year round. We try to avoid the winter season which can be rainy but apart from that all seasons are good. The Jewish New Year (around mid September to mid October) and Passover ( part of April) seasons are better to be avoided as hotels prices jump steeply.

The Motorcycles

We try to provide customizations of our motorcycles, like, a lowered seat, if you require it. Please let us know of any special requests in advance so we can accommodate you or tell you if there is any problem.
I am sorry but we do not use Harleys at this moment.
We provide motorcycle insurance. You are responsible for the deductible, which will be anywhere from 1400 – 2500 Euros depending on the bike. At the start of the tour you will be required to sign a contract and provide your credit card number as insurance for the deductible. We will not charge your credit card unless the motorcycle is damaged. For lowering the deductible, contact us about our VIP Insurance.
As the motorcycles are rather new, catastrophic mechanical failures are rare. We regularly service our motorcycles so that they are in good mechanical order before and during the tour. In the unlikely event of a motorcycle breakdown, we will make every attempt and use all resources at our disposal to get the bike to a service professional. In the very unlikely event that we cannot fix the bike, we will provide a replacement bike.

The Tours

All dinners and breakfasts are included. On rest days, if you choose to do an activity outside the hotel and you are not back in time for the meal, you will have to take care of it by yourself. Most breakfasts and dinners are usually buffet style, which means, you can eat anything off the buffet. Drinks are ordered separately and paid for by the guests. In case we eat in restaurants, there will be set menu.
Most issues are easily solvable. Please contact us in advance and let us know so we can plan together.
We ride anywhere from 100 to 350 kilometers per day, depending on the road and the type of tour. There is usually a scenic, long route and a short, fast route choice for most days. The guide will go with the group so you are not going to get lost.  We make time for coffee breaks and some sightseeing. We usually arrive at the hotel around 17:00-18:00.
You should feel comfortable doing several 250 km days in a row. If a non rider is accompanying you, some experience riding with a pillion is necessary.

Basically speaking yes but you can go at your own pace (according to the speed limit) and choose your own riding companions. The route directions and destinations will be supplied and if you have a smart phone it will be easy to follow the route.

A support van accompanies the tour and guests can bring one large or two medium suitcases per person.
Yes, but it depends on how many people are going to ride. If there are a lot of non-riders there will be more than one car to accompany the tour.
We are going to do some sightseeing and also have free time. We will give suggestions as to what to do with your free time.
Yes, usually every third or fourth day we have a rest day. You can sight see or rest on the rest days. The bikes are not available on rest days unless there is optional riding (separate fee), but not on your own.
In order to provide our best personal service to each guest, we limit the size of our tours to ten motorcycles.
Of course. You are more than welcome to.

More Questions

Helmets are required by both rider and pillion.  and the alcohol tolerance in a lot of European countries is 0. If you are stopped with alcohol in your blood, the authorities will not allow you to continue the tour and your motorcycle will be confiscated. The policy of Adriatic Moto Tours is not to allow alcohol consumption before or during riding.
During this tour we will not mix drinking and riding. Israeli police is very unfriendly toward drunk drivers so if you drink, you do not ride. If you are caught riding while under the influence of alcohol we will have to ask you to stop riding for the rest of the tour with no compensation.
All drugs are illegal in Israel and there will zero tolerance for drug use on this tour. If you are caught riding while under the influence of any drug we will have to ask you to leave the group immediately with no compensation.
It is important to layer your clothing for different climates, as our tours may go through cool high mountain passes on one day and warm valley lowlands on the next. Rain in the mountains can occur unexpectedly but it really depends on the season, so it is best to consult with us.
Our tour information package will be sent to you approximately one month before your tour departure date. In it you will find packing information, country descriptions including essential travel facts, day-by-day road and route information, and a full-size highlighted route map. Our information package has a lot of good information in it, but if you really want to delve into the histories, religion and culture, we highly recommend the guides like Lonely Planet, etc.
Over the years, we have designed many custom tours for our customers. We can custom design a guided tour for your motorcycle club or riding group of almost any size if you so desire.
