As the land promised by God to the Jews many times over in the bible, the many biblical stories we can follow, walk in the footsteps of past judges, visit the battle fields throughout the history. This is the place where Jews can re-connect to their Judaism and for people interested in what Judaism is about, to learn more about it. In Jerusalem we can visit old and renewed roots and in other places see what the Jewish Start-Up Nation is about, not only in the meaning of IT. Israel is the place where you can see which prophecies over 2,500 years old came true. This tour is designed for any rider who has road riding experience and some gravel riding experience.

Riding time – about 5-7 hours a day
Most of the tour runs on asphalt and some of it on easy trails.

This tour can be done as a self-guided tour or a group/privately guided tour at any time of your preference if bikes are available. You can also rent a bike and follow the route described here.

Please not that we are closed from Friday 12:00 Till Sunday morning. Bikes can be returned Saturday from about 40 minutes after sunset.

All riders must have a valid motorcycle license (at least A1).

The tour is based on staying the night before the tour in Netanya and starting the tour the next morning. If you use your own helmets I will bring the communication equipment to the hotel so you can install it in advance to save time.

The tour is based on having a full day in Israel on the last day.

The tour is subject to change depending on weather, road conditions, travel arrangements etc.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival

Overnight in Netanya

Day 2

Pick up your bikes, have a short orientation, arrange your gear and off we go. Ride north along the coastal highway to a view point on Mt. Carmel. From there continue north to the City of Akko, a world heritage site. From Akko we will cut east through the upper Galilee along the Lebanese border and visit the old city Tsfat where Kabbala started. We will go down towards the Kinneret, Sea of Galilee. We will stay in area of the Sea of Galilee.

Day 3

Today we will head further north to a lookout on the Lebanese border and the Hula valley. Depending on the season, it is possible to do a short hike or raft on the Jordan River. Our route will take us up the Golan Heights to a 12th century fortress and from there we will continue along the Syrian border with a few lookouts and nature reserves all the way to the famous winery of Katsrin. After the visit in Katsrin we will ride to see a 1,600 years old synagogue, one of many that were discovered in the Golan Heights. We will then head to a stunning viewpoint of the Kinneret, Sea of Galilee, and then ride down the winding road that leads to the meeting point of the borders of Israel, Syria and Jordan.  We will stay in area of the Sea of Galilee.

Day 4

In the morning, we will ride to the Gilboa mountain range for a scenic road that winds up and on top of the mountain allowing great views of the valleys around where many biblical stories took place. Then we will visit Beit Shean and on the way to Tel Aviv, we will stop to see the aquaduct of Caesarea

Day 5

In the morning we ride to the World Heritage site of Maresha and visit the bell caves. We will also visit the site of the fight between David and Goliath. In the evening we will do a tour Tel Aviv and Jaffa.

Day 6

We will ride all the way south to the Scorpions Pass and continue to the Arava Valley The Syrian-African Rift. After riding to in the valley we will go towards Arad and ride off road on a trail to see a stunning view of Mt. Sodom – the only salt mountain in the world and the Dead Sea. On this day we will also have a chance to float in the Dead Sea.

Day 7

We will ride up to the city of Arad at 550 meters above sea level and continue down a stunning road to Masada. We will end the day in Jerusalem.

Day 8

Rest day

Day 9

On this day we will visit Jerusalem and we will try to understand why Jerusalem is so important for the Jews, Christians and Muslims. We will visit the old city as well as part of the new city. At the end of the day we will conclude the tour in Netanya and return the bikes.
